Tide and Tempest is the third book in Elizabeth Ludwig's Edge of Freedom series. This book follows the lives of Tillie McGrath and Captain Keondric Morgan. While they are not romantically involved, there lives are connected because Tillie traveled to America as a passenger on Captain Morgan's ship. When Captain Morgan finds information that her fiance's death may have been a result of murder and could possibly mean that Tillie is in danger, he takes it upon himself to protect her. I was quite pleased that this book was able to stand alone despite being part of a series. I really enjoyed this book. It kept me guessing what was going to happen next. The character development was really good, and the story line was interesting and well written. I highly recommend this book!
