Book Review of The Quick-Start Guide to the Whole Bible by Dr. William H. Marty and Dr. Boyd Seevers

This book takes the Bible book by book to help those studying the Bible understand it better.  Each book of the Bible has its own chapter in the book, starting with the Old Testament.  The table of contents gives you the page number for each book of the Bible, so if the reader can easily find the book of the Bible that they are studying.  Each chapter gives the setting of the book of the Bible, a summary and the significance.  Each chapter is fairly short and easy to read & understand.

If you are studying the Bible, I think that this could be a useful and helpful tool.  I really like that you have the option to use this as a reference or read it straight through.  If you are looking for something that goes into explaining the Bible more thoroughly, this book probably isn't for you.  However, if you are looking for something that gives you a background fairly quickly like it says in the title, then I would suggest this book.

*I received this from Bethany House in exchange for an honest review.*
